For thirty years, I have served this nation in numerous capacities and although many, many times it required difficult sacrifice I can truly say that my military brothers and sisters became my family away from home and we all helped each other get through the tough times. My leadership career started as a U.S. Navy Flight Officer and Mission Commander on the E-6B “Looking Glass” nuclear airborne command post, became Force Protection Officer in Bahrain, requested as Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) Subject Matter Expert system design for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, a Battle Watch Captain in Baghdad during the surge, and finished as Branch Head leading a 50-person (gov’t/contractor) software development/engineering team designing, creating and installing ATFP systems for NIWC Pacific.

I’ve run real-time crisis response during terrorist attacks on U.S. diplomatic posts in Jeddah and Karachi, delivered a $14 million situational-awareness system for a foreign government, linked eleven Navy Regional Operations Centers into one global common operating picture, and built the command-and-control backbone for the Navy’s first large autonomous warship.

Every mission had the same standard: zero margin for error when lives and critical assets were on the line. My expertise was honed under Col Joe Molofsky, a Force Recon Marine, who shaped this Navy professional into a warrior.

I retired with an Active Secret clearance and the same fire I had on day one.
